Gallery H x DA-MO presents Alignment, an exhibition of new large-scale paintings by Rocky Morton in Los Angeles' Arts District.

The works combine acrylic paint with an elastic medium that forms intricate, organic strands across the canvas. Working intuitively, Rocky moves the paint with unconventional tools, including a leaf blower, letting gesture, gravity, and chance become part of the process.

Vedic meditation is central to his practice. "Before I paint, I meditate to quiet the mind and move away from conscious intention," he says. "From that stillness, the paintings emerge through instinct: color, gesture, movement, and chance responding to one another."

For Rocky, Alignment is "the moment when stillness meets energy, control meets surrender, and the internal becomes physical."
